Professional Career

  • Joined PwC in 1989 and started her professional career in the Audit division
  • She was the partner responsible for Human Capital in the Spanish firm and a member of the Audit division’s Executive Committee
  • She is currently the partner responsible for the TICE sector and global leader of the TICE Audit division

Justo Alcocer

Qualifications

  • Industrial engineer degree from  ICAI (Catholic Institute of Arts and Industries)
  • MBA in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Professional career

  • During 2009 he was Partner in charge of the Roland Berger consulting firm in Spain
  • In 2005 he was Business Development Manager at Banca March, post which he held until 2008.
  • From 1997 to 2005 he was Partner in charge of the Financial Sector in Spain at McKinsey and leader of the retail banking practice in Europe where he worked with the main finance companies in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. Strategy expert and an expert in retail banking operations, he has participated in the merger processes of the main finance companies.
  • Began his professional career in  Banco de Asturias.

Manuel Martín Espada

Professional career

  • Manuel has over 20 years’ experience in business consulting in some of the main companies of the sector.
  • Has vast experience in drawing up strategic plans and cost reduction plans for large national and international corporations.
  • Has directed important projects in Latin America and Europe, developing projects relating to operations optimisation and process efficiency.
  • Has also participated in projects relating to the organisational improvement of companies such as Design and Implementation of a Shared Services Centre, Customer Phone Lines, Outsourcing of Services, etc.

Carlos Fernández Landa

Professional Career

  • He started working for PwC’s audit division and in 1999 joined Transactions where he has been working for 12 years, devoted full time to advising on transactions and due diligence work for corporate clients (national and international) and private equity.
  • Noteworthy is his knowledge and specialisation in the infrastructure and energy sector where he has worked on major deals in the sector in the past few years. Additionally, he has led international projects in the sector in countries such as Italy, Brazil, Colombia, USA and Poland.
  • Carlos is a lecturer on balance sheet analysis in the Master’s on Company Law at ICADE, on business sales and purchases on the Master’s in Company Economics at Universidad Complutense and due diligence work for energy companies on the Master’s in Infrastructure Financing at Universidad Antonio Nebrija.

Professional career

  • Joined the PwC Spain Corporate Finance division in 1996.
  • Before re-joining PwC, Jaime worked in BAWAG (Cerberus Group), with full responsibility over all investments in distressed assets in Europe.
  • 20 years working in different projects, providing services in lead advisory, valuations, due diligence and M&A in financial assets on a global level. He has participated in the design and creation of the Spanish “bad bank” (Sareb), participation in the divestment of property platforms and recovery of the main Spanish banks, both in the purchase and sale and divestment of asset portfolios. He is currently leading projects in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
  • Other than his global functions and responsibilities, Jaime is currently the partner in charge of the Deals Financial Sector, Origination, Funds and New Businesses in PwC Spain.

  • He was a member of the Legal Department of the Dragados Group and responsible for the Tax Department of the Telefónica Media Group.
  • He is currently the partner responsible for the Construction and Services Sector of PwC Spain, which encompasses Construction Industries, Auxiliary Construction Industries, Engineering, Real Estate and Services Companies.
  • As an expert in company taxation, he provides tax and legal advisory services to the leading construction and real estate groups, both Spanish and foreign, on corporate restructuring operations, refinancing, REITs, FII, EAV, tax structuring, etc.
