Among the initiatives of the PwC Foundation to catalyze change to promote the strengthening of the third sector, on Tuesday November 17, was held the ESADE-PwC Social Leadership Forum for NGO on the theme "How to make your NGO more innovative ". The forum was attended by the directors of 30 leading NGOs from Spain, which could have various presentations and interactive to innovate in the social world sessions.
Pedro Alberto Gómez, PwC Global Innovation Leader, presented the audience the keys to establish a process of innovation within each entity.
The “Chairmen’s Forum”, third meeting of the 7th edition of the Social Leadership Programme of the PwC Foundation and Institute for Social Innovation of ESADE, took place in Madrid on 27 May.
The meeting, devoted to “Contribution by Government Bodies to the definition of the organisation’s vision and strategy”, aimed to create a space for reflection and discussion for the heads of the governing bodies of the non-profit entities participating in this programme. The session speaker was Ignasi Carreras, director of the programme and of the ESADE Institute for Social Innovation. Pedro Alberto Gómez, responsible for Innovation at PwC, was also a speaker on how to encourage NGOs to innovate.
The final session of the National Start-up Programme Competition was held in the Rafael del Pino Foundation on 21st May. The jury, presided over by the President of the PwC Foundation, Enrique Fernández-Miranda, has awarded the National Start-up Programme Competition prize to CtOS Enabler, a cloud service which facilitates integration of geolocation in mobile applications. This project has also received the Special PwC Prize which is awarded to the project with the greatest potential for growth in global markets. In addition to receiving Euros 1,000 in prize money, the recipient of the Special PwC Prize receives a consultancy session with the participation of PwC experts of various areas.
The PwC Foundation has opened up a channel for collaboration with Caritas and Cruz Roja so that all PwC staff and former staff can send a donation to the charities to collaborate with their field work.
El pasado jueves 23 de abril, PwC, en colaboración con la Fundación de Sindrome de Down, recibió la vistita de los alumnos de su centro de educación especial para que pudiesen conocer un día de trabajo en nuestra firma. El presidente de la Fundación de PwC Enrique Fernandez-Miranda dio la bienvenida a los alumnos. Además, profesionales de PwC explicaron con detalle el trabajo que realizan en la firma.
El pasado martes 21 de abril, La Fundación de PwC organizó, junto con la Fundación Hazloposible, la segunda edición de Ideas con valor, una iniciativa de voluntariado profesional multiempresa cuyo objetivo es colaborar conjuntamente para resolver un reto propuesto por una ONG. Este año fue Ashoka, la mayor red de emprendedores sociales, quien compartió su desafío: quería incrementar la cantidad de nominadores que les llegan a través de su propio canal. Gracias a la participación de de directivos de empresas como Banco Santander, Reale Seguros, BT, BBVA, Universidad de Alcalá, PwC, VIPS y Burson-Marsteller, se lanzaron varias propuestas para resolver este reto.
El pasado jueves 16 de abril, PwC acogió en las salas de formación de nuestras oficinas en Madrid la IIIª Sesión de trabajo del StartUp Programme. Una iniciativa que se enmarca dentro del voluntariado corporativo de la Fundación de PwC en colaboración con la Fundación Junior Achievement, y en apoyo al emprendimiento universitario. En esta ocasión contamos con la participación de expertos en inversión de ASCRI (Asociación española de Capital Riesgo) y nuestros especialistas de PwC en diversas áreas: en aspectos jurídicos, Macarena Plaza, asociado senior de PwC; en aspectos fiscales; Carmen Rodríguez Gil, directora de servicios fiscales de PwC, y en emprendimiento y alto potencial, Alberto Tornero, director del Área de Empresas de Alto Potencial de PwC España. Quienes analizaron las principales tendencias y claves para poder aterrizar a la realidad el plan de negocio de las StartUps.
El pasado 15 de Abril de 2015 tuvo lugar en ESADE Barcelona el 14º Foro de Liderazgo del Programa PwC- ESADE de Liderazgo Social que realiza el Instituto de Innovación Social con el apoyo de la Fundación de PwC y que este año se centra en el reto de las colaboraciones ONG-Empresas de alto impacto. En el foro asistieron directores de ONG participantes del Programa ESADE-PwC de Liderazgo Social. La sesión contó con la intervención de Pierre Buffet de PwC, para dar la bienvenida al grupo y presentar el informe “Más valor social en 2033. Nuevas oportunidades para las empresas”. También participaron tres directivos que nos explicaron sus experiencias destacadas e innovadoras de colaboración entre ONG y empresas: Gonzalo Sales de Ferrovial presentó su Programa de Infraestructuras Sociales, Txema Franco explicó el BBK Bilbao Good Hostel, y Victor Viñuales de ECODES expuso al grupo la iniciativa "Zaragoza, ciudad ahorradora de agua". Además Anthony Silard, profesor internacional, desarrolló la sesión final de la jornada centrada en el Liderazgo Colaborativo y Competencias emocionales para líderes efectivo, donde detalló algunas pistas para construir alianzas con el sector privado y aumentar los ingresos.
El pasado lunes día 13 de abril tuvo lugar la sesión orientativa del Programa Impulsa en las salas de formación de la Torre de PwC. El encuentro tuvo por objetivo mostrar a los profesionales de la firma de PwC el Programa Impulsa, la iniciativa de la Fundación de PwC que permite a nuestros empleados realizar un voluntariado corporativo internacional en algunas regiones del mundo afectadas por la pobreza.
En la sesión pudimos conocer los proyectos que participan en la convocatoria de este año 2015 de la mano de los responsables del voluntariado corporativo de las ONG que los presentan: Ayuda en Acción, Cruz Roja Española Paz y Desarrollo; y Sembrando Salud.

On March 18, at the headquarters of the Barrie Foundation in A Coruña, fifty Galician social entities were introduced. They will receive economic assistance within the 2015 programme Más Social, a programme of PwC in collaboration with the Barrie Foundation, helps the Galician social entities into an economically sustainable professional leadership and management.
PwC Foundation has launched the "Sponsor Programme: You propose, we choose" to promote social engagement of PwC professional. Each professional will present his social NGO project. PwC professionals will vote among the projects for PwC Foundation and the top rated will earn a donation of 30.000 €, 20.000 € and € 10.000 euros.

On 28, 29 and 30 January in Madrid, PwC Foundation campaign promoted blood donation Red Cross. Thanks to the commitment of the employees we could do 104 blood donations.

On December 15 PwC Volunteers, Students and tutors universities gathered at PwC Tower Madrid in the first working session of this year's Startup Programme. A Networking productive where students could meet what will be the advisors of their respective projects, receive training in Lean Canvas and begin to develop their ideas together.

PwC Foundation , within the framework of collaboration that has maintained this year with Manos Unidas , attended the awards ceremony held annually by Manos Unidas. The event included the Special Prize for La 2 Noticias or the Press Award for Hugo Aznar, "Las Provincias".

On November 20 the Social Leadership Forum PwC / ESADE celebrated the first session of the course 2013 - 2014. In this session, 45 managers of 29 organizations worked on the organs of government and non-profit organizations with the participation of Luis Ferrándiz.

This Friday night the Citizen Award Association celebrated its 2012 YEAR END GALA during which it celebrated both its 10 anniversary and a new edition of the event with the new award winners.
The chairman of the PwC Foundation, Enrique Fernández Miranda, also received an award from the director general of the ONCE, José Luis Martínez Donoso, in recognition of its commitment to society, through its programmes and actions promoting and financing social, cultural, academic and educational activities.
The presentation of the book “Innovate for social change: from ideas to action” took place at the headquarters of ESADE in Barcelona on 26.
During the presentation Mr. Ignasi Carreras, Director of the ESADE Social Innovation Institute, reflected upon some of the matters that had arisen during the 2011/2012 period within the ESADE-PwC Social Leadership Programme.
